Tell us about your journey with Resolian

I joined Resolian after graduating from Newcastle University in November 2017 and joined our Immunoassay bioanalysis department in Fordham as a Scientist.

In 2020 I had the opportunity to move to the LC-MS team on a secondment, but I ultimately decided to stay and shortly after this in 2021 I was promoted to become a Bioanalytical Principal Investigator at which point I began to lead the analysis of study samples and oversee validation of new methods. I worked as a BPI in the LCMS team for around 4 years and during this time I was able to undergo additional training so I could take on managerial and commercial responsibilities.

In 2025 I had the opportunity to build on my leadership experience and moved into my current role on the commercial side of the company as a Business Development Manager, bringing in new clients and working with our scientific teams to keep our existing clients fulfilled. I’ve had an incredible amount of opportunity to develop professionally, and ultimately I’ve been privileged to move into a senior role that benefits both myself and the wider organisation.

What do you enjoy the most about working for Resolian?

There are two key elements that have kept me feeling rewarded and motivated during my time at the company and continue to do so today.

The first is the incredible people I get to work alongside. Everyone I’ve had the pleasure of working with at Resolian is passionate about the success of the wider team of people around them, on both a professional and personal level. There is a fantastic ethos within the organisation built around many years of collaboration and support.

The second aspect is the impact that our work has on the lives of patients. During the course of my time here I’ve worked on therapeutics spanning oncology to autoimmune disease to neurodegenerative disease, and I’ve been given a fantastic insight into drug development and the pharmaceutical industry as a whole. Its inspiring to be a part of cutting-edge research and to see how the work we do actively leads towards improvements for patients.

If someone was considering applying for a role here at Resolian, what advice would you give them/ what would you say to them?

I’ve had the pleasure of working with hundreds of team members during my time at the company from lab-based scientists to executive team members.

We all come from very different backgrounds but something that unifies everyone here is their desire to make a difference and be part of something bigger than themselves.

If you care about improving patient outcomes and have the drive and ambition to help us make that happen, then I would wholeheartedly encourage you to apply to join the team.

I joined Resolian (then LGC) in 2017 as a QA Advisor. The training program set me up well to understand both the role and the company. I was given opportunities to develop my knowledge and be involved in additional areas, especially increasing my interactions with operational groups and management. After 2 yrs, I was promoted to Senior QA Advisor, where I was responsible for training new QA staff as well as providing regulatory training to the business. In 2022, I was given the great opportunity to manage the QA team. It was great to be given this opportunity to grow and further my skillset. Most recently in 2024, I was further promoted to Associate Director, Quality where I now manage the UK and US sites.

What do you enjoy the most about working for Resolian?

The people at Resolian are incredible, I have learned so much from my peers both within the department and across the business. Everyone is willing to share their knowledge, and all staff are encouraged to develop and learn.

If someone was considering applying for a role here at Resolian, what advice would you give them/ what would you say to them?

Resolian is a fantastic company where you will have the opportunity to work alongside and learn from incredibly talented and experienced personnel. My advice would be to make sure you ask questions, be curious and be involved whenever you get the opportunity

Any other comments

There is a wonderful community at Resolian, both within teams, departments and across the company. Staff are given opportunity to engage in social events and to give back to the community.

Tell us about your journey with Resolian
I joined Resolian shortly after graduating from university, beginning my career in the Elemental Impurities team. In this role, I developed expertise in analytical techniques including ICP-MS and ICP-OES, while working to cGMP standards. This experience helped me build confidence in the laboratory, strengthen my time management skills, and develop the ability to communicate analytical findings clearly and effectively.

I later transitioned into the Extractables and Leachables team, where I embraced new challenges and expanded my knowledge within a different area of analytical science. This involved learning additional techniques, such as GC-MS and LC-MS, as well as new software. During this time, I continued to develop as a scientist by working on more complex study designs, including method development and validation.

As my experience grew, I began working closely with a wide range of clients, building strong professional relationships and consistently delivering high-quality analytical reports. Through hard work and commitment, I was promoted to Senior Scientist, where my expertise shifted to prioritise GC-MS related studies and my focus expanded to supporting junior colleagues in their development and helping them progress towards their own career goals.

What do you enjoy the most about working for Resolian
I enjoy problem solving which is at heart of what makes Resolian – we solve complex challenges on the behalf of our clients. Receiving a new study and working out a strategy to provide high-quality data to our clients makes the job worthwhile. The Analytical Sciences team analyses a wide range of products and being able to see those products go onto the shelves knowing that we have assessed the safety of the products is highly rewarding.

If someone was considering applying for a role here at Resolian, what advice would you give them/what would you say to them?
Resolian is a great place to develop your skills as a scientist; whether straight out of university or have experience. My advice would be – be open: there’s so much to get out of working at Resolian, being exposed to a wide variety of sample preparation and analytical techniques – make the most of it.

Tell us about your journey with Resolian

I started at Resolian in 2022 after graduating from Anglia Ruskin University with a degree in Forensic Science, joining the Extractables and Leachables team. Since then, I’ve had the opportunity to develop both professionally and personally, learning a great deal from the people around me and gaining valuable experience within the industry.

During my time here, I’ve also joined the Sports and Social Committee, helping to organise events throughout the year and contribute to the wider Resolian community. I’ve been fortunate to attend conferences and take part in development opportunities that have helped me build my confidence, expand my knowledge, and grow within my role.

I am also currently undertaking a professional doctorate alongside my role, which has been a brilliant opportunity to continue developing my scientific knowledge and grow both academically and professionally. Overall, my journey with Resolian has been really rewarding so far, and I’m grateful for the opportunities I’ve had to learn, get involved, and continue developing my career.

What do you enjoy the most about working for Resolian?

What I enjoy most about working for Resolian is the supportive culture. The opportunity to work with colleagues across different disciplines and backgrounds.

If someone was considering applying for a role here at Resolian, what advice would you give them/ what would you say to them?

I would say Resolian is a great place to develop your career, as there are plenty of opportunities to learn, grow, and take on new challenges. Everyone is supportive and willing to share their knowledge, which creates a positive environment for both personal and professional development.

My advice would be to be open to new experiences and make the most of every opportunity that comes your way. I would also say that, regardless of whether you have a chemistry degree, many of the skills gained through your studies such as problem-solving, attention to detail, communication, and teamwork can be applied in this role.
